“Lush” pt. 1

It’s been a whilllle since I’ve started a new series and I think it’s time to get back into them!

I’m currently displaying my Glows pt 2 at ‘Curated’ gallery and seeing her up inspired me to create more foliage focused paintings.

I came up with Glows 2 during the beginning of 2020, when a lot of my friends and I collected plants while on lockdown, just to give ourselves something to take care of/ healthy distraction. Since my move I had to let quite a few of them go but I still have several left and was happy to use my monstera again as inspo for Lush.

The process of creating plants in my style is so relaxing to me. I can fully vibe out with music or a background show and let the brushstrokes just fall into place. The feeling that I get from my process is the same feeling I hope to evoke when people see these pieces.

No overthinking, no pressure, just pure serenity.
