“SoUlstice”

These were commissioned by a tattoo artist as part of an art/tattoo trade and I am in love with how it turned out.
I was given a color scheme, theme of their space to work with, as well as full creative freedom and the request to include two of my ethereal beings. The theme she wanted was winter and summer solstice with these earthy colors + golds. This was my first time incorporating metallic leafing into the frames I build from scratch and I can’t wait to do more. The way the frames pull the golds throughout the entire piece just made it all come together so well.
SoUlstice is giving mother nature goddesses harnessing the energy of the sun and moon.

I think they balance femme, strength and power while having a nice delicate touch along with the ginko leaves I added in that make the pieces flow together.
